BT Group PLC has announced the appointment of Allison Kirkby as its new CEO, effective no later than January 2024. Kirkby, who has served as the president and CEO of Telia Company AB since early 2020, has been a Non-Executive Director at BT Group since 2019. The current CEO, Philip Jansen, will step down at an 'appropriate moment' over the next 12 months and will support the handover until his retirement in March 2024. BTGOF shares closed higher by 7.05% at $1.67 on Friday.
