Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced that Threads will use fact-check ratings from Facebook and Instagram and plans to allow fact-checkers to rate misinformation directly on Threads. A new feature will let U.S. users adjust the visibility of fact-checked posts. Threads, which has historically not emphasized news content, will now engage more with news content by introducing tags and trending topics. Details about the fact-checking program are still pending.
