TotalEnergies has welcomed the launch of a criminal investigation by Mozambique's Attorney General into alleged human rights abuses by Defense and Security Forces in the Cabo Delgado province around summer 2021. The company, which holds a 26.5% stake in the Mozambique LNG project, has requested a formal investigation and will fully cooperate with authorities. The Mozambican Commission on Human Rights (CNDH) will also conduct an independent assessment to ensure transparency and fairness.
