Google has announced an expansion of its partnership with AI safety and research startup Anthropic. The partnership includes collaborations on AI safety standards and AI security, and Anthropic will use Google's Cloud TPU v5e chips for AI inference. Anthropic has built one of the largest Google Kubernetes Engine clusters and uses Google's AlloyDB and BigQuery. Anthropic is also using Google Cloud's security services, including Chronicle Security Operations, Secure Enterprise Browsing, and Security Command Center. Anthropic is one of the first companies to deploy at scale TPU v5e, Google Cloud's most versatile, efficient, and scalable AI accelerator.
