Rivian's Electric Vans Now Available to All Businesses, Not Just Amazon
Portfolio Pulse from Anan Ashraf
Rivian Automotive Inc (RIVN) has announced that its electric delivery vans will now be available for businesses other than Amazon.com Inc (AMZN). The amendment to the Amazon agreement allows Rivian to sell commercial vans to other customers. Amazon, which ordered 100,000 EDVs from Rivian in 2019, currently has over 10,000 Rivian-made vans on the road. However, Rivian expects Amazon to take fewer deliveries in Q4 due to the holiday period. Rivian is also in active discussions with other potential fleet customers.
