Portfolio Pulse from Nabaparna Bhattacharya
Shell PLC (NYSE:SHEL) has signed two long-term LNG sale and purchase agreements with affiliates of QatarEnergy for the supply of up to 3.5 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG from Qatar to the Netherlands. The LNG will be delivered to the Gate LNG terminal in the port of Rotterdam starting in 2026 for 27 years. The deal is similar to a TotalEnergies' (NYSE:TTE) deal last week with QatarEnergy to supply France. Both are Qatar's biggest and longest gas supply deals with Europe.
