Scammed By Reviews On Amazon? Mozilla Firefox Will Soon Come With A Built-In Fake Reviews Detector
Portfolio Pulse from Rounak Jain
Mozilla Firefox is set to introduce a built-in fake reviews detector for popular e-commerce websites such as Amazon.com Inc., Best Buy Co Inc., and Walmart Inc. The feature, enabled by an add-on called Fakespot, uses AI and machine learning to detect patterns and similarities between reviews to flag deceptive ones. The feature adjusts the rating based on its findings and labels sellers based on their reliability. Mozilla acquired Fakespot in May this year.
