Tesla's Semi truck, first announced in 2017, is designed to be aero-efficient and powerful enough to keep up with traffic. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 20 seconds while fully loaded and can travel up to 500 miles on a single charge. Tesla claims the Semi is approximately 2.5 times cheaper per mile than using diesel and estimates fuel savings of up to $200,000 within the first three years of use.
