Belgium's primary intelligence agency, the Belgian State Security Service (VSSE), has increased its surveillance of Alibaba's main European logistics hub due to concerns of potential espionage. The VSSE is particularly concerned about the implementation of software systems that collect sensitive economic information. Alibaba and its logistics subsidiary, Cainiao, have denied any allegations of misconduct. This development follows the Pentagon's concerns about China potentially using cargo cranes for spying purposes.
