Amazon Web Services Now Offers Generative AI Tools For Businesses, Catches Up With Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched Bedrock, a generative AI product for businesses. Companies such as Adidas, BMW Group, Merck & Co, and the PGA Tour are already using it. Bedrock will compete with similar offerings from Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Amazon also announced an investment of up to $4 billion in AI startup Anthropic, which will use AWS as its primary cloud partner. Anthropic's conversational AI assistant, Claude, will be offered to AWS clients. Amazon has also struck deals with AI companies including AI21 Labs, Cohere, Meta Platforms, and Stability AI.
