Microsoft Inc (NASDAQ:MSFT) is planning to use small nuclear reactors to power its artificial intelligence (AI) operations. The company has advertised a job position for a nuclear technology specialist to integrate small modular nuclear reactors and microreactors. These reactors will likely power the data centers that support Microsoft's Cloud and AI platforms. Microsoft has shown interest in nuclear energy innovations and has recently entered into a power purchase agreement with Helion, a nuclear fusion startup.
