Knightscope, Inc. (NASDAQ:KSCP) has announced that the New York Police Department (NYPD) has launched the Knightscope K5 security robot service in a Manhattan subway station. The first two weeks will be spent on training, configuration and setup protocols for the autonomous robot to navigate followed by patrol activities. The company's technologies have been successfully used by other police departments, with one agency in Los Angeles County, California, praising Knightscope for reducing crime in a public park.
