RTX & Elbit JV Bags $16M Contract For Improved Pilot Helmet Mounted Display Systems

Collins Elbit Vision Systems (CEVS), a joint venture between Collins Aerospace, an RTX Corp (NYSE:RTX) business, and Elbit Systems Ltd (NASDAQ:ESLT), has secured a $16 million contract from the U.S. Navy for development, engineering, logistics and test support of the Improved Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System used in Block III F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G aircraft. CEVS is introducing the Zero-G Helmet Mounted Display System+ (HMDS+), which will provide an augmented view of the battle space inside the pilot's helmet to allow for faster decision making, increasing survivability and effectiveness.
