GE HealthCare and Mass General Brigham have co-developed an AI algorithm to predict missed care opportunities (MCO) and late arrivals, aiming to increase operational effectiveness and productivity. The algorithm, part of the Radiology Operations Module (ROM), was able to predict MCOs with up to 96% accuracy in preliminary tests. The collaboration is part of a 10-year commitment signed in 2017 to explore the use of AI in healthcare.
