John and Roman Cresto, who claimed to be successful e-commerce consultants, are under scrutiny for alleged deceit and misrepresentation. Their company, Empire Ecommerce, charged clients hefty amounts to manage their online stores on Amazon and Walmart, but most of these stores hardly made any sales and were eventually suspended or terminated due to policy violations. The Cresto brothers allegedly pocketed over $22 million from their clients. The Federal Trade Commission has launched a lawsuit to halt their operations.
