Micron Launches Memory Expansion Module Portfolio To Accelerate CXL 2.0 Adoption
Portfolio Pulse from Happy Mohamed
Micron Technology has announced the availability of its CZ120 memory expansion modules to customers and partners. The modules, which come in 128GB and 256GB capacities, are designed to augment standard server systems when additional memory capacity and bandwidth is needed. The modules use Compute Express Link (CXL) standards and support the CXL 2.0 Type 3 standard. Micron has been developing and testing the modules on both Intel and AMD platforms. The modules allow servers to have more memory capacity and low latency, which can reduce capital and operating expenses for data center applications.
