Russian players in Minecraft have recreated battles and captured cities, sharing videos on VKontakte, a popular social media network in Russia. Microsoft's president, Brad Smith, acknowledged these efforts but downplayed their significance. Clint Watts, head of Microsoft's threat analysis team, noted that Russian paramilitary force, the Wagner Group, used platforms like Discord and Steam to promote narratives supporting the Kremlin's views.
