Both companies were challenged to substantiate the charging speeds advertised. The authority concluded that the ads failed to include important information about factors that could impact the advertised charging time, and the limited availability of the chargers used. The authority has instructed both companies to ensure their future ads do not mislead consumers about battery charging times.
