Researchers have found that Meta Platforms-owned Instagram connects users to child-sex content sellers and promotes pedophile networks through its algorithms. Meta acknowledged the issue and set up an internal task force to address it. The company has taken down 27 pedophile networks in the past two years and removed 490,000 accounts in January alone.
